Semirom Refractory Mining CO with private ownership was established on 1998, and is in the refractory group of Iranian Refractories Procurement & Production CO and is one of the member of Mine House of Iran.
Fire clay mine with actual deposit of 6 m tons are mining over 50 years, and the raw and calcined material (chamotte) are sold to refractory manufacturers. Mine and plant are located at Semirom in the South of Isfahan province. In achieving to a guaranteed specification of the material especially Iron content, a plant for beneficiation of this fire clay designed by KHD Humboldt wdage AG. From Germany and started up on 1998 with 40000 MT out put per year, and now we could aver our product is the unique in the world. We have obtained ISO 9001-V2000 certificate for quality system for exploited and produced beneficed fireclay (less iron oxide) in Semirom mine and plant from RWTUV
